Guest Compliment submitted via email from a guest with CE Power Systems on January 20, 2012:

I neglected to drop my comment card in the box but I wanted to share some specific comments with you if I may. First to you for going above and beyond to help us with dinners and with the morning workouts and making sure all things were in place with the contract.  Second, the person who cleaned my room…I feel like housekeeping goes unnoticed and unappreciated a lot of times.  She did extra little things in cleaning my room that I noticed and I appreciate what she did.   (I was in room 312 in case you want to give her a personal commendation).  Third, the guys at the front desk were wonderful.  We played musical rooms the first night and they just rolled with it and made it all work without getting rude or frustrated with us.  Next, the concierge guys…they really hustle around that place!  They were very helpful with our deliveries and with making sure we were taken care of for dinner.  Overall, a great team and we would be happy to stay there again.

“Will definitely be going back!”

The hotel is perfect because of its size. I loved the fact that I could get to the pool, elevator and restaurant with ease. The staff is super friendly and they all try to please you. The Gulf View was beautiful and the room cleanliness and housekeeping were impeccable. They provide entertainment with music near the Tiki bar and have dancers on one of the evenings while watching the Sunset.

Easy access to airport, shopping and entertainment. I love the area and have gone for the last 10 years……

“Great Honeymoon Destination”

My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and it was a blast. The hotel was very nice, and being right on the beach was a great convenience. Every night we had a beautiful view of the sunset, with the pier within beach walking distance. The food at the hotel was great, we would definitely recommend the Tiki Bar, where they have great food and drinks and it’s right on the beach. The actual restaurant is a little more expensive but does provide a place to eat outside under a cabana and still view the beach. If you can get the free breakfast buffet deal it’s definitely worth it! Would recommend!

I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was working with Marie Molina at the DoubleTree and the rest of the staff too. I was an out-of-state bride and all my arrangements were handled perfectly and professionally. The DoubleTree is extremely reasonable in their prices and a very lovely hotel. We will for sure be visiting again!!

Marie (our catering manager) was amazing from day 1 when we came to view the property – we immediately booked the room and beach for a PERFECT beach wedding. The staff here are friendly, courteous and ALWAYS helpful; they made our day the happiest one and a time we will not only remember but also cherish! Thank you to the entire DT Team and especially to you Marie – we had an amazing time !!!

“Nice Hotel in Quiet Area”

Enjoyed the fact the hotel is located in a relatively quiet, non-commercialized section of the beach communities, yet is just a short ride to the restaurants, bars and stores in Treasure Island and Madeira Beach.  Enjoyed the tiki bar with the frequent live music and the beach was nice also.  Our room was a nice size and the beds were very comfortable.  Definitely worth paying a little extra to have the gulf view — loved waking up to that every morning or sitting on the balcony with a drink.  Would definitely stay at the Doubletree again.

Expedia Online Review submitted on March 25, 2011 by A Traveler from Chicago, IL:

“Amazing atmosphere”

The staff was always smiling, the room was cleaned thoroughly daily (loved the Neutrogena products & Wolfgang coffee).  I was on my spring break with my bf and was hoping for an atmosphere that didn’t include the typical spring break crowd.  The pool/beach environment was exactly what I was hoping for.  It was clean, relaxing, NOT crowded!  Loved every moment.  Happy hour was a nice perk, amazing pina coladas and coconut shrimp!  Would return!

“Anniversary Get Away”

I planned this trip for our 13 yr Anniversary, just the two of us and no kids. I read reviews on tons of hotels and Doubletree is the only one that had all great reviews so I booked it. I was not disappointed at all! It was everything that was promised and more. The service of the staff was exceptional and everyone went above and beyond to help however they could. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. We had a King room with balcony that overlooked the Gulf and it was beautiful. The hotel was very clean and had a relaxing vibe. My husband and I were very impressed and we will definitely be going back to Doubletree North in Redington Beach, FL. My husband’s favorite part was getting the warm cookies at check-in and I would agree that they were pretty magnificent! Definitely visit this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Grandma visiting Orlando from England meets up with grand daughter from Tampa and shares the sun and beach. The staff at the hotel was some of the best we have ever had adn made the week end even better.  After driving around looking for a place to eat we decided to return to the hotel. It became or favorite eating spot…after all it was right on the beach, the staff was great and the food just what we wanted!

Expedia Online Review submitted October 20, 2010 by “A Traveler from Kentucky”:

“Hope I am there again very soon….”

This was our sister getaway for the Fall. Our room was ready and waiting for us even tho we arrived before 3 pm. We ate on the veranda every day because the weather was perfect and the food was delicious. We ask and received our warm cookies each night before we retired for the evening. We spent each day at the beach or pool. We did hate to spend extra for beach chairs but discovered the pool was so close to the beach we did not need to rent chairs even tho the padded beach chair was more comforatble. We will return for sure.

Beach cabanas available to Guests for a charge. Complimentary Beach towels. Friendly staff that is attentive and more than competent. Indoor restaurant serves tasty food and Sunday buffet breakfast is a good deal. Front desk staff accomodated desire for early check in and slightly later check out. Definitely would go again.

“Fantastic Hotel!”

Loved this hotel. The price was perfect, view (spring for the beach view) was amazing wished we would have stayed longer. The hotel wasn’t to crowded since it’s off season but none the less the service was more than I would have expected, room was clean and on spot. The have a Tiki bar that’s pretty much right on the beach that is full service (food and drink) check it out while catching the sunset. Staff was very kind and gave you free hot cookies when you checked in, and you could have them whenever you wanted. Beach is small and nice. Clean warm ocean water. At night it’s amazing to sit on the beach and watch the stars, don’t see anything like that in the city.

Doubletree Resort North Redington was best known for flexibility.  You can pretty much form your own package for the reception.  It was wonderful having a location right on the beach that was able to conform to our budget.  Marie Molina was most helpful getting back quickly to emails and questions.  The food was excellent, all of my guests enjoyed and complimented the quality in the buffet we chose.  They made sure they fulfilled our needs 100%.  They were professional, friendly and courteous.  I recommend this location for brides who want a nice ceremony and reception right on the beach.  We were at the beach for a week and visited the tiki bar before we left, they had a reception for another wedding on a Friday night.  Seems like a lot of people do their ceremony and reception there.  I found this gem accidentally, definitely satisfied my needs!

Comments from Event Questionnaire submitted on July 21, 2010, written by Becky Ellis with the Gibbs High School Class of 1975 Reunion:

I would just like to thank the entire staff of the Doubletree for making our entire stay such a wonderful experience…from check in to check out!!  I have already recommended the hotel to the committee doing the reunion for Gibbs Class of 1976.

Thank-you, Thank-you and Thank-you.  Everyone had the best time, food was excellent and your staff did an outstanding job. … Trust me – it was the best ever reception ranked by so many of our guests and I’m hoping they will all spread the news and you will get further bookings, I’m recommending you to everyone.  Ed and I had a wonderful time.

You all did a fabulous job, thank you!  We had a few ladies that needed some last minute items from the drug store.  Your staff volunteered to go to the store and pick up these few items for them so they would not miss their meeting, and also printed everyone’s boarding passes.  AWESOME service!  It was a pleasure working with each of you.

“My daughter had a lovely wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in North Redington Beach, FL.  It was everything we expected and more.  I have Marie Molina, the coordinator of the wedding, to thank for such a beautifully executed wedding.  She was extremely helpful and accommodating in the most professional way from the beginning of our planning (Dec. 2008) to the wedding day (July 2009).  The events of the wedding day surpassed all of my expectations.  Marie was there from the beginning to the end of the wedding events to make sure things ran smoothly.  All the guests at the wedding/reception shared how lovely and relaxed it was.  Many guests expressed that this was the best wedding they had been to (a beach wedding).  Your staff was also very accommodating to our family and friends needs during the overnight stay at your lovely hotel.  I would truly recommend your facilities and Marie Molina’s expertise to anyone having a Florida beach wedding.  It was truly a wonderful experience all around.  You have a valuable employee (Marie) at this hotel in making wedding dreams come true.  We owe it all to her for the success and memorable event that we will cherish forever.  No regrets.  I would do it exactly the same if I had to do it all over.  Thank you for a lovely, first class wedding. ”

“The first two days I had my 5 year old with me and it was a lot of fun for families and for young children.  After he left I had a friend come out and stay with me and it was a great time for adults as well!  The staff was great, the location was amazing, the sunsets were breathtaking…I honestly have NOTHING bad to say about this place except that I had to check out and go home!”

“Awesome hotel, employees, food and accommodations.  We had to change hotels at the last desperate minute and they had us in the next morning at 11am with warm cookies, a gulf view and the most heartfelt welcome possible.  Every staff member we encountered had a smile on their face and ready to give us the best service possible.  The food was great, make sure you try the sweet potato chips and salsa.  The rooms were clean, had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable.  The beach was clean and beautiful.”
